Artificial Intelligence (AI), especially Generative AI, is revolutionizing the way we live and work. From generating new content and automating tasks to enhancing decision-making and fostering innovation across industries, AI is transforming communication, information consumption, and problem-solving. At the heart of this transformation is the critical infrastructure of data centers and cloud computing platforms, driven by cutting-edge CPUs and GPUs. Industry giants like Microsoft are investing billions in AI-enabled data centers to train advanced AI models and deploy cloud-based applications globally.
Join us for an insightful workshop led by Purdue supply chain faculty, alongside two distinguished Purdue alumni from Microsoft’s cloud supply chain team. This session will provide a deep dive into the supply chain strategies that support AI and cloud computing. Through an interactive case study, participants will gain valuable insights into how Microsoft designs and manages its cloud supply chain to enable the development and operation of AI infrastructure. The focus will be on the challenges of designing a supply chain for GPU product offerings, which are essential for powering AI technologies. Attendees will collaborate to address real-world market constraints and devise innovative solutions.
In addition to the case study, Microsoft representatives will share internship and full-time employment opportunities within their cloud supply chain team. Two Purdue students who interned at Microsoft last year and will be joining the company full-time this fall will also share their experiences and insights.
