"Works on Paper" Art Exhibition Reception

Purdue’s Nursing Center for Family Health (NCFH) and the Department of Art & Design are pleased to announce the opening of Works on Paper, the inaugural student art exhibition in the NCFH clinic and teaching space on the Purdue West Lafayette campus in Lyles-Porter Hall.

The exhibition’s opening reception takes place in Lyles Porter Hall (715 Clinic Dr., West Lafayette) at 6pm on Thursday, November 30, 2023. It is free and open to the public.

Works on Paper includes drawings, fine art prints, collage work and photography. The exhibition features the work of student artists whose work was selected from a larger number of works submitted through an open call by an interdisciplinary jury of faculty and staff representing both the School of Nursing and the Department of Art & Design. This group of artworks is accompanied by two curated experiences, one featuring works from Brian Hitselberger’s course Intermediate Drawing and the other presenting works from the Department of Art and Design’s Printmaking program, curated by Prof. Jennifer Scheuer and her Teaching Assistant Grant Brownlow.

The series of student artwork exhibitions in the Nursing Center for Family Health is a collaborative project between the School of Nursing and the Department of Art and Design. It was initiated in the Fall 2023 by Elizabeth Wertz and Prof. Fabian Winkler.
