Join the Purdue Women’s Network for the October installment of our virtual Cocktails and Conversation series, featuring Katie Gearlds (LA’07), Purdue women’s basketball head coach.  

During “Empowering the Next Generation: Katie Gearlds’s Purdue Experience and the Future of Women’s Basketball,” Gearlds will share her journey as a student-athlete and head coach. Taking the helm just 43 days before the 2021–22 season, she made an immediate impact as head coach of Purdue women’s basketball, leading the team to its first postseason appearance since 2017–18 and advancing to the NCAA Tournament in the 2022–23 season. Before returning to her alma mater, Gearlds led the women’s basketball team at Marian University and spent three seasons in the WNBA with the Seattle Storm.
