The Daniels School's Purdue University Research Center in Economics (PURCE) welcomes to campus Douglas Holtz-Eakin for a presentation on "Trumponomics: Grades Heading into the Midterm." Holtz-Eakin will review the economic policies of the Trump Administration in the first year of this term and evaluate them from several perspectives: short- and long-run macroeconomics, domestic and international economics, and fealty to campaign promises. Holtz-Eakin is a Distinguished Fellow at the Daniels School of Business and the president of the American Action Forum. He has served as a senior economist (1989-1990) and chief economist (2001-2002) for the President’s Council of Economic Advisers and was the sixth director of the Congressional Budget Office from 2003-2005. Space is limited for PURCE luncheons, and registration is required.
