DESCRIPTION:Toby Moskowitz will discuss the current landscape of the rapidl
 y growing prediction and sports betting markets. Drawing upon his latest r
 esearch\, he’ll show how the behavior of market participants is similar 
 in both markets\, and similar to that of financial markets. Asset pricing 
 implications of this behavior are consistent across prediction\, sports\, 
 and financial markets\, including stock\, bond\, currency\, commodity\, an
 d even private equity markets. Moskowitz will also discuss some of the imp
 ediments and differences across these markets that may distort these conne
 ctions and what policies might be forthcoming to mitigate or exacerbate th
 em.\n\n \n\nMoskowitz is a Daniels School Distinguished Fellow and the Dea
 n Takahashi Chaired Professor of Finance and Economics at Yale University.
  His research focuses on financial economics\, with an emphasis on asset p
 ricing and investment management. Along with David Swensen\, the CIO of th
 e Yale endowment\, he co-founded the master’s program in Asset Managemen
 t at Yale. He has also written about sports analytics and sports betting\,
  including the New York Times best-seller Scorecasting.\n\n \n\nSpace is l
