The Purdue University Research Center in Economics (PURCE) invites you to hear from a special guest during our next on-campus economic policy luncheon.
Feast and Famine: The Hidden Rhythms of Household Finance
Purdue Associate Professor of Economics Jillian Carr will explore the feast-and-famine cycles that many U.S. households experience — the predictable crunch that hits between paychecks and the cascading effects that reach far beyond household budgets. Using insights from a unique service-learning partnership between Lafayette Urban Ministry and Purdue’s Women in Economics Club, she’ll explore the ways that families depend on nonprofit agencies to get the help they need during times of scarcity. Space is limited for Purdue University Research Center in Economics economic policy luncheons, and registration is required. Please register by noon on Friday, April 17.
Parking is available in the nearby Grant Street Parking Garage.
