David Malpass is a leading economic analyst who served as president of the World Bank Group from 2019-2023. He is a Daniels School Distinguished Fellow of International Finance and the inaugural Fellow of Global Business and Infrastructure at Purdue@DC.

At the PURCE luncheon, Malpass will explore how the U.S. has deindustrialized, causing dependency on China's economies of scale and why dependency is an economic and national security risk. Malpass contends many hard steps and big investments are needed to reindustrialize.
