Many have felt the strain of increased workload and expectations, but anecdotes are a poor measure of whether and how much this negatively impacts health. What may lead to work stress, and how bad can it get? Who is most at risk?
Dr. Xiang will discuss these questions by drawing on his recently published paper “No Pain, No Gain: Work Demand, Work Effort, and Worker Health” with coauthors David Hummels, also a PURCE faculty affiliate, and coauthor Jakob Munch of the University of Copenhagen.
Space is limited for our luncheons, and registration is required. Please register by noon on Friday, November 8. We look forward to seeing you in Rawls Hall!
