The School of Languages and Cultures is launching an interdisciplinary Certificate in World Food Cultures and as part of the kickoff program Dr. Alex Psomas, from the Computer Science Department, will give a talk on Monday, April 14th at 1:30, in WALC B-091.
Dr. Psomas will talk about his project on combating food insecurity using AI. Working with the Indy Hunger Network initiative he is developing a comprehensive automation system that not only streamlines the process, but also ensures fairness in food allocation in Indiana, in order to reduce waste and alleviate hunger.
