 aniels School of Business and a nonresident senior fellow at the American 
 Enterprise Institute. In "Is the FHA Producing Sustainable Homeownership?"
  Tracy will review the history\, original mission\, and evolution of the F
 ederal Housing Administration (FHA) since the 1930s and will argue that th
 e FHA has transitioned to pushing “affordability” of homeownership ove
 r “sustainability” of homeownership. He will discuss a change to the F
 HA that would increase the sustainability of homeownership. This is partic
 ularly important given the high share of FHA borrowers who are first-time 
 borrowers. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED by noon Eastern on October 3.
