Grading Without the Grind: An Intro to Gradescope

Kick off the semester with tools that make grading faster, fairer, and more efficient. This workshop introduces you to Gradescope, a digital platform designed to streamline assessment through flexible rubrics and powerful grading workflows. Whether you're teaching large lectures or small seminars, Gradescope can help lighten the grading load and improve feedback for your students.

In this session, you'll explore Gradescope best practices, including how to integrate it with Brightspace and take full advantage of its grading features.

By the end of the session, you'll be ready to:
• Link your Brightspace course to a Gradescope course
• Create a templated Gradescope assignment
• Grade handwritten work in Gradescope's digital platform
• Use rubrics and annotation tools available in Gradescope
• Identify use cases for Gradescope’s AI-Assisted Grouping feature
