Join Purdue’s collegiate Innovation & Entrepreneurship Fellows, departmental I&E Ambassadors and our entrepreneurial ecosystem partners from Purdue Innovates, Strategic Ventures, and NSF I-Corps on Tuesday, June 10th, 9:00 - 10:00 am at the Boiler Up Bar/Leaps Café in the Memorial Union for a complimentary morning beverage on your way into work, to meet, mix and mingle.

Our illustrious guest will be Purdue’s most impactful serial entrepreneur, Presidential Scholar for Drug Discovery and the Ralph C. Corley Distinguished Professor of Chemistry, Phil Low, with an introduction by Brooke Beier, Senior Vice President of Purdue Innovates.  Together, we will learn about Phil’s journey and fundamental pivot from plant pathology to cancer detection and therapeutics, culminating in his tremendous $20 million donation to build the Low Institute for Therapeutics (LIFT).  The institute’s goal is to share Phil’s research-to-commercialization expertise with the broader Purdue entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Purdue Innovates is a unified network at Purdue Research Foundation to assist Purdue faculty, staff, students and alumni in either IP commercialization or startup creation.  Phil Low holds 101 U.S.-issued patents through the Purdue Innovates Office of Technology Commercialization and has also founded seven companies based on Purdue-developed intellectual property.

Espressos & Entrepreneurs is a monthly networking opportunity to meet like-minded entrepreneurial storytellers you can relate to.  For a prosperous future, we aim high by exploring the building of comprehensive venture studio teams, joining academic forces from across and beyond the Purdue system, to create enterprises around stakeholder problems.

Intrigued?  Espressos’ on me!
