About this Event
100 S Grant St, West Lafayette, IN 47907-2076
https://business.purdue.edu/academics/economics/Dr. Exley studies gender, experimental economics, and behavioral economics. In her work on gender, she focuses on the drivers of gender gaps in the labor market, such as those that relate to negotiation, discrimination, and self-promotion. In her other work, she focuses on how to encourage more charitable giving and volunteering, often by investigating how individuals exploit excuses not to give. She also studies the drivers of (in)equity concerns more broadly.
Dr. Exley will present Gender Views: A Restricted Path for Men and A Mission Impossible for Women. Comprehensively investigates how people expect labor market behaviors by men
and by women to be viewed.
