The College-Going Rate in Indiana
is Decreasing: Why?
with Dr. Kevin Mumford
Professor of Economics
11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Eastern
Wednesday, December 6, 2023
Rawls Hall, 3rd Floor Commons
Registration is required. Please RSVP by December 1.
Dr. Mumford is a Professor of Economics and Kozuch Director of the Purdue University Research Center in Economics who researches the effects of public policy in areas including education, labor markets, and personal finance. He has been at Purdue since 2007 and teaches courses in econometrics and applied microeconometrics.
In this last PURCE event of 2023, Mumford will share data on college-going in the U.S. Fewer high school graduates across the country are choosing to pursue higher education, with Indiana ranking particularly low. What is behind this decline? Does it matter that fewer high school graduates are choosing to go college?
Parking is available in the nearby Grant Street Parking Garage.
