The Center for Working Well (CWW) at the Daniels School of Business is excited to start engaging with you during its first semester of existence. The core mission of the CWW is to develop a robust understanding of what “working well” means to employees and organizations. We will do this by:

  • Identifying organizational solutions aimed at promoting employee well-being (e.g., reducing workforce burnout, promoting thriving)
  • Creating sustainable performance
  • Adapting to grand challenges in modern organizations (e.g., societal issues; hybridization and automation of work)
  • Cultivating positive and inclusive relationships at work and at home
  • ...and other issues as organizations continue to change and well-being is affected.

Join us December 11 at our opening preview event with Theresa Glomb, the Toro Company-David M. Lilly Chair in the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.

Theresa truly embodies the CWW's mission by dedicating her research on ways to improve the lives of workers. Her research focuses on four core ideas: work hard, have fun, choose kind, and be present. As an award-winning researcher and educator, Theresa will use her talk to help us all learn how to make work better.

The event will include a one-hour talk, followed by lunch and networking. We are offering a virtual option, as well. Registration is required. For in-person attendance, please register by December 4. If you are attending virtually, register by December 7.

For questions about registration, please contact CWW Senior Administrative Assistant Sarah Hetherington at shetheri@purdue.edu. For questions about the event, or to learn more about the CWW, please contact CWW Faculty Director Allie Gabriel at asgabriel@purdue.edu.
