About this Event
Join the Purdue Women’s Network for the May installment of our virtual Cocktails and Conversation series, featuring Vanessa Tavares Kanaan (PhD A’08), wildlife conservationist and biologist.
Kanaan will share lessons from 15 years of leading rewilding initiatives to highlight how women can lead boldly in challenging environments, transform science into action, and create space for one another in traditionally male-dominated fields. She is the founder and president of Instituto Fauna Brasil, where she leads pioneering conservation projects to restore ecosystems while generating lasting social and economic benefits for local communities in Brazil.
